Another Great Kindle Review
I found a series of Kindle reviews by Pocket Now. These I really like because they show the Kindle and all of it’s functions up close. Plus they are honest reviews with no bias. The Kindle is a cool product, but it is not perfect. At least not yet.
It starts with locking the Kindle into the cover. The Kindle has 2 next page buttons, and a previous page button. It also has a back button and a selector wheel, which control a selector. It has a simple keyboard, where you can input words, search, and control the text size.
The on off button and wireless button and speaker are on the back. It has a rubber back cover and a nice ergonomic feel. It also has a headphone jack and a mini USB port. If you are new to the Kindle or thinking about getting one, then these videos are useful.
Kindle Review #2 By Pocket Now
In this second video review, they talk about the screen and lighting issues with the Kindle. The Kindle has a 6 inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 600, and uses E-ink. To select items on the Kindle
there is a selection wheel and a chrome strip that marks your selection.
This video also compares the contrast of the Kindle E-ink with a real book. The right bar is a next page button. The top has the book name, and author, and whether you have it book marked. On the bottom it has a meter that tells you how far along you are. You can also change the text size.
You can also look up a word on the fly. After looking up the word, just click on the back button and go back to where you left off.
Final Pocket Now Kindle Review
This is the last video in the Kindle review from pocket now. It goes over reading newspapers on your Kindle. It also discusses some experimental Kindle
features such as Basic Web – where you can attempt to view web pages over your Kindle
. Keep in mind this is experimental.
Ask Kindle NowNow – where you can type a question and real people will send you 3 answers in about 10 minutes. And play music – where you can put in an SD card and listen to music, while you read on your Kindle .
A Brand New Review Kindle Being UnBoxed
Here is yet another new Kindle video. Here we begin with the Amazon Kindle E Reader being delivered on the porch. To being opened up and turned on. Nothing life altering here. But it’s a nice first look at a Kindle if you haven’t got to play with one yet.
Steve Gibson Gives The Kindle 5 Stars
I was reading Kindle reviews on the Amazon site and I noticed a rather lengthy review by a guy named Steve Gibson. My first thought was “hmm, I wonder if this is the Steve Gibson from Security Now”, a frequent guest on many technology shows and a pioneer in the field.
I didn’t have to wonder long because he answered my question in the second paragraph of the review. Here’s a quote from the beginning of the review:
This is less a “pros and cons” review than a hopefully useful commentary about the Kindle compared with other eReaders and what it means for the eBook industry. (I believe that everything has changed with the Kindle’s creation.)
For many years I have been an avid reader of eBooks using almost every eReading device on the market. So as an early-adopter of techie gadgets I had been anxiously awaiting Amazon’s Kindle since its first rumors. So I immediately purchased it both out of curiosity and hoping for a better “next generation” eBook solution. In case you’re wondering whether I’m “that” Steve Gibson, I probably am — I’m the guy who gets Google’s first three or four links when Googling my name.
You can read the rest over at the Amazon site. The Kindle really seems to be the device of the future.
A New Amazon Kindle E Reader Review
Here is another review of the Kindle. There are only 17 days before Christmas. We here at Kindle e reader will do everything we can do to find you discounts and ways to get your hands on a Kindle before Christmas. I would continue to check the Amazon site for any more of the 329$ refurbished Kindles.
But besides that the best deal would probably be to put your order in now for a new Kindle for 359$, shipping after Christmas.
