Kindle 2 Shipping Now
I received an email saying that my Kindle 2 shipped yesterday. And I noticed several back ordered Kindles on my web site have shipped. I just checked and the Kindle 2 is in stock and shipping now.
Hopefully Amazon will be able to keep up with the orders this time and keep the Kindle 2 in stock. Nothing takes the fun out of an impulse purchase then a 6 week back log on shipping.
When my new Kindle 2 arrives I’ll make a video of it so everyone who hasn’t ordered one yet can see what it looks like and how it functions. But for now here is what Amazon has to say about the new Kindle 2.
Another cool feature of the Kindle 2 is the new read to me feature. If you are reading a book on the Kindle and you want to turn away and look at something else the Kindle will read out loud to you. Then when you want to start reading again you can pick right up where it left off. Early rumors were that this sounded like a robot voice. But I’ve heard some early demos and it actually sounds pretty good.
