You must go to the US version of the Amazon website. That means that if you are living in the UK for example you would need to go to Amazon.com and buy it there. Amazon.com recognizes most accounts established with their non-U.S. sites. You can sign in using the e-mail address and password for your existing account and see your existing addresses and payment methods. Notice anything strange in the above list? Yes… Canada is not listed!! I don’t know why, but there is still no way for Canadians to get a Kindle from Amazon.
Right now if you try to order a Kindle in Canada you will get this:
“Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship Kindles or offer Kindle content in Canada. We are working to make Kindle available to our Canadian customers as soon as possible.”
I am sure there will be an update on this soon so be sure to check back, I’ll let you know as soon as there is more news about this. Shouldn’t take long before the Kindle in Canada is available.
